Are bloggers writers? I do not necessarily think of myself as a writer. However, I sometimes have writer’s block—like today. My week was spent working, reading, and knitting. This is what I do every week. Perhaps something funny, challenging, or heartbreaking came out of the week that gives me an anecdote to share. Usually my weeks are quiet filled with the gift of God, my family, and those things that God has entrusted me to care for. During these weeks—which, quite frankly, I think are the best—I put my fingers on the keyboard, and no words flow. Like the humming of cicadas, my mind is filled with nothing but everything all at the same time. I do not know if this means I am a writer or just a blogger who writes. Regardless, I am thankful for all the days that I get to share nothing … and everything..

What I read…
This week I read Kate Landry Has a Plan which is absolutely hysterical. I also read An Unexpected Companion.
What I’m reading now…
I’m still working my way through The Lightness of Water (audiobook). I haven’t been able to go on walks either due to the weather or because I’m under it so this has been paused for a bit. I hope things improve this week so I can pick this back up. I’m at a critical point.
What I’m reading next…
I’m going to pick up Discovering Dahlia tomorrow morning. I like to give myself a pause between books to work on other things. This pause, I’m working on updating my blog for the upcoming week. After that is Some Like It Scot. I’m really excited about this one because the author, Pepper Basham, is going to be at Rendezvous 2025 and I’m hoping to read at least one book by most, if not all, of the authors by then.

From the Author:
- The Truth About Love by Susan Marie Graham. This was a recommendation from one of the Booksties on Bookstagram. She’s friends with the author and I said I would read and review. Which I forgot. Oops! So I’ll try to squeeze this in somewhere. I’m really liking the premise of the book so it’s not like it’s a hardship or anything.
