On February 28th, I stayed up reading so I could get one more book in. No, not really. I loved the book so much that I wanted to finish it while I had the time. So now this post is coming in late for you. But, you know, better late than never. A saying I don’t understand because it really is all about context. I’m sure a bride would choose never if you walk in in the middle of her vows.
Books & Book Reviews
I read a total of seven (7) books. Of those, two (2) were paperback and seven (5) were eBooks.
The links below are to the review on Goodreads for consistency. However, you can get to reviews on the blog either by title or by author. You can also find most of the reviews on my Bookstagram account.

- When Stars Light the Sky by Elizabeth Camden
- Heart of Beauty by Danielle Grandinetti
- Small Town Harmony by Milla Holt
- An Overdue Match by Sarah Monzon

- Grandma Ruth Doesn’t Go to Funerals by Sharon J. Mondragón
- The Novel Adventures of Natalie Daughtry by Susan L. Tuttle
- His Perfect Bride by Jody Hedlund
Top Posts
A couple of weeks ago, I posted about how happy I am that my average pageviews had finally reached over 800 per month. Well, two weeks makes a huge difference. February pageviews reached 2,007. That’s a 30% increase over January. Thank you, my bookish friends! This brings the average monthly total to 919 pageviews per month.
The top five posts by page views in February were:
- Misgivings by Anne Gibson: Book Review & Giveaway 273 views
- Grandma Ruth Doesn’t Go To Funerals by Sharon Mondragon: Book Review & Giveaway 192 views
- Right Before Their Eyes by Carrie Walker: Book Spotlight & Giveaway 179 views
- The Novel Adventures of Natalie Daughtry by Susan L. Tuttle: Book Review & Giveaway 165 views
- The Hunted Heir by Jayna Breigh: Book Review & Giveaway 120 views
I don’t think it’s just the fact that the posts are giveaways are the only factor in the draw. The prizes were very similar, but Misgivings received 93 more page views than Grandma Ruth. Additionally, the only thing that has changed is that I’m a little better about cross-posting to Instagram. But that still only brought in 32 pageviews this month. I wish I knew the secret.
Bookstagram
I’m still not hitting Bookstagram hard other than posting book tours and cross-posting my blog posts over there. I do not go out of my way to get followers over there. I prefer a genuine audience, so I dropped some of the practices, such as follow trains, that I did when I first started on Instagram. I wind up with too many people who read books, particularly open door books, that I just won’t read. Any followers I get stumbled onto me on their own accord. I also do not feel the need to follow everyone back. If I don’t know them from blogging or interactions on Instagram or if I’m not interested in the types of books they read, I just don’t follow. You can see all this by the lacking numbers below.
- Interactions: 1,063
- Total followers: 1,553

Yarn Tales
Not only have I not done any fiber arts this month, I also haven’t watched any of my favorite vlogs – NE Knits, Crazy Sock Lady, plus a couple others that I don’t watch as regularly. I’ve got to find a way to balance knitting, reading, and blogging so that I don’t become burnt out on one or the other. It reminds me of Leah’s recent discussion post on burnout.

Well, that’s a wrap on this wrap…up. Happy reading!
How was your February?
