As I was thinking about this top ten list, I started doing research on Christian books that take place on or near a body of water—whether river or ocean. You know, any type of water that would keep this landlocked Missourian cool on a summer day. Okay, it’s only two hours to Lake of the Ozarks, and I live in a high-flooding area, so clearly it’s not like I don’t have access to water. But it’s not a beach, and to be honest, I’m not much of a river rat. The murky waters of the Bourbeuse River just don’t cut it for me. That’s why we float around here.
Anyway, I realized that sitting on Google all day is just ridiculous because I am overflowing with books—and surely there are already physical books and eBooks right at my fingertips that would fit the bill and save me countless hours of scrolling. And there were. It took me less than two minutes to pull things down from my shelf while remembering exactly why these books are on my TBR. Beachy vibes, gentle waters, and ocean floors aren’t the only reason to pick up these books.
