Ah, March, just as quickly as you came marching in, you marched right out. The last month has been mostly uneventful for me. I’ve spent a lot of my time indoors, even when the weather has been warm, the wind will knock you on your butt. My writing mojo has been ebbing and flowing, one day I’m full of words and the next empty as a dry well. It’s a good thing I don’t write for a living. Although, that could be fun. Now onto the books…
Books & Book Reviews
I read a total of eight (8) books. Of those, seven (7) were paperback, and two (2) were audiobooks. The reason that the numbers don’t match up is that for one of them, I read the paperback while listening to the audiobook. I also had two of the paperbacks on NetGalley as well, so some overlap in format throughout March.
Eight books in a month when I’m working every day is a lot for me. Having two as audiobooks helped it feel a little less overwhelming. I can either get a walk in or do some knitting while I read those. I’m also very happy that I was able to get in three Amish reads. They will forever be my favorite genre.
The links below are to the reviews on the blog. If you want to follow along or friend on Goodreads, you can also do that here. Or, if you enjoy the aesthetics of Bookstagram, I’d love to catch up with you there.

Top Posts
Due to the large number of giveaways in March, my pageviews were pretty epic for a book blog that is less than a year old. The total pageviews were 3,439. I’m not sure that I’ll be maintaining that in April because I’m still slowing things down so that I can actually, you know, read the books. And knit. This brings the average monthly total to 1,234 pageviews per month.

My overall comments are down, and that’s because I haven’t had time to do a Top Ten Tuesday (TTT) post in a while. I do need to get back to those because list posts are popular. I like a good list post myself and still read TTT posts from other blogs even if I’m not posting one.
The top five posts by page views in March were:
- Texas Divided by Sherry Shindelar: Author Interview & Giveaway 577 views
- This is also the highest viewed page of all time
- Green Pastures by Patricia Johns: Author Interview & Giveaway 337 views
- The Stranger at the Door by Henry O. Arnold: Author Interview & Giveaway 318 views
- Kate Landry Has a Plan by Rebekah Millet: Book Review & Giveaway 251 views
- Home Baked Bribery by Gina Holder: Author Interview & Giveaway 250 views
I find it interesting that my stats are telling me that 81% of you are using a desktop to read the blog posts. I really thought that in this day and age, mobile (16%) and tablet (4%) would be higher. I rarely read blogs on my desktop and only use my personal laptop as a blogging tool. I can’t get the hang of posting from my mobile or tablet app.
Bookstagram
While I’m still not spending much time on Bookstagram (or at least in my mind I’m not- who knows what God and my husband think), the views were back up significantly. Too much for it just to be that March was a longer month than February. Hmmm… who knows? I’m not sure if I’ll keep posting this info here since I don’t really care.

Yarn Tales
I spent time knitting! I don’t care if I miss deadlines (which I didn’t), I have to have my knitting breaks. I still haven’t found time to watch NE Knits or the Crazy Sock Lady vlogs but I’m making progress on splitting up my hobby time more evenly.
The Sun and Sky Wrap has been coming along nicely. It’s an easy pattern, my preference, and the simplicity of it has allowed me to read audiobooks while I knit. When I read The Mother’s Day Bargain, I sat down with the audiobook, the paperback, and my knitting and finished the book in one day. Now I’m almost finished the first skein of yarn and only have two more to go. A few more audiobooks and I’ll be done with the wrap. Which is good because church is so cold in the Spring and Summer with the air conditioning running.

Well, that’s a wrap on this wrap…up. Happy reading!
