I created a new logo for The Sunday Post that I feel fits my aesthetic better and is more representative of a blog. While I don’t put this directly on the post, you can see it on the homepage because I set it as my featured image. The other reason this is important is because I have a Pinterest Share This button at the bottom of each post. If someone finds a post they like, the featured image is the image that is pinned. That’s also why I use my original photography on my book reviews. The exception to the original photography is on the tour posts but I’m thinking about changing that going forward.

Monday was the surgery I kept talking about but abruptly stopped. I just want this to be more of a positive space. But I do want to give you all an update since I already told you about it. The surgery was successful. Yeah! I wound up staying two nights instead of one and I have an allergic reaction to the prep that they put on my abdomen (I have five very tiny incisions) but nothing everything is good. And, yes, I did take my Kindle and read before and after the surgery. I read two books despite the pain and the constant interruptions from nurses. Once I was home both fur babies think it’s their duty to take care of me so there is much fighting over who gets to lay down by me. Such good kitties! Currently Reading: Decisions, decisions.

The Sunday Post #17: My Diet Coach: Last week’s Sunday Post is a cozy escape from the winter chill! While icy weather kept me indoors (thank goodness for remote work), Jeffrey, my furry “diet coach,” held his post by the fridge, keeping temptation at bay. A sweet shoutout from Terri Wilson had me LOL-ing. Curious about my current read or last week’s highlights? Grab a warm drink and let’s chat books, cats, and snowy days! ️

Yarn Tales

On Saturday, January 11th, I attended A Cozy Crafternoon hosted by Lisa at Boondock Ramblings and Erin at Cracker Crumb Life. It was so much fun and there was great discussion while we all worked on our separate crafts. I’m looking forward to the next session.
I worked on my Chevron knit blanket this week. Not a ton of progress, especially since I had ripped back a bunch of work I had done on the 11th. I still had no idea how I dropped a stitch so far down but it was just easier to rip it back and start over than try to repair it.
Yesterday I organized myself to start on my cross stitch Spellbound coasters. I haven’t cross stitched since I was a teen so I binged a bunch of YouTube videos to refamiliarize myself.
Tell me something good.
