Santa. The jolly fellow with the dapper red suit. And let’s not forget the hat. I kinda love him. I even have a ton of cookie jars to honor him. And, when I’m a really good girl he brings me presents. I haven’t had any in a long time. Perhaps it’s time to straighten up – or “Straighten up and fly right” as my grandfather used to say. But, maybe, just maybe, he’ll bless me with the following…

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller
Series: Sisters of the Quilt – Book 2
Why I want it: Okay, I have mentioned that I Insta stalk authors in the past. Now I’m dangerously near the edge of actually stalking. Okay, not really. I have read this book and it’s absolutely incredible. I want a paperback copy so that I can walk around with it at all times on the off chance that I meet Kathleen. Then she can sign it and my book life will be complete.

B is for Bonnet by Shelley Shepard Gray
Series: Amish ABC’s – Book 2
Review
Why I want it: This is another book I have read and loved. I own Book 1 of the series – A is for Amish. I very much want to own every book in this series, it’s just that good. Even if she goes to Z. If the next series is The Amish Count to One Million, I’ll want all of those too. The series is about siblings who are considering becoming Amish like their grandparents. One sibling keeps holding out on an answer so I hope in October when book three comes out, we’ll get one.

The Burning of Rosemont Abbey by Naomi Stephens
Why I want it: I do not have enough historical fiction in my life. This is set in the 1950s where they wore fabulous dresses (as seen by the cover) and the ladies still wore gloves. This one also has a mystery in it so to tie romance, history, and mystery all together in one book seems like a great idea to me. Plus people have been suggesting I branch out in my reading. This is about as far as that branch goes. Tell me this doesn’t sound good? In 1956, the quiet village of Wilbeth Green is abuzz after Rosemont Abbey burns down, and Paul Everly is accused of arson. When Paul vanishes, his twin sister Louisa, convinced of his innocence and sensing his death before the fire, defies skeptics to uncover the truth about a murder no one believes happened, risking secrets that could upend the village.

Dog Days of Summer by Teri Wilson
Series: A Comfort Paws Romance – Book 1
Why I want it: I read book two of this series, Fa-La-La-La Faking It , and thought it was one of the best holiday reads ever. Obviously I want to read book one to see what I’m missing. Book 2 was readable without the context of the first book but there were so many references to other members of the Comfort Paws group that I really just want to know more about them. This one tells the story of Maple Leighton, an aspiring veterinian. She oddly inherits a veterinarian practice in the small town of Bluebonnet, Texas but she has no idea why.

The Amish Widower’s Surprise by Laurel Blount
Series: Hickory Springs Amish – Book 1
Why I want it: This releases on Christmas Eve. It’s the first in an Amish series and I’ve been loving the Love Inspired romances. I think the story of two people not wanting to fall in love or giving up on love but winding up in love is always great. I’m sure that there’s some shortened version of a trope for that but I’m sticking with what I said.

The Amish Matchmaking Dilemma by Patricia Johns
Series: Amish Country Matches – Book 1
Why I want it: So many reasons. One, it’s written by Patricia Johns and she brings out all the emotions in my cold hard heart. Two, it features a man who needs help from a woman. Three, the woman is a progressive Amish. Four, I own book six of the series so now I need the complete set. I cannot tolerate things that are incomplete. And six, I would like to reread it so I can give a proper review. Would you like me to go on? Because I can also tell you all the reasons I love all Amish romance. Maybe I’ll save that for it’s own post on another day.

Amish Christmas Cookbook by by Linda Byler, Anna Kauffman, and Laura Anne Lapp
Why I want it: The answer to this question is so obvious it’s almost frightening. Okay, those snippy answers may be the reason the jolly fat man hasn’t visited in years. Shoofly Pie, I’m not positive exactly what it is but I want to find out. Plus Frosted Cinnamon Rolls, Church Peanut Butter Marshmallow Spread, Oatmeal Whoopie Pies – I could go on and on but I’ll stop.

To Mimi’s House We Go by Susan Meissner (Author), Mette Engell (Illustrator)
Why I want it: Okay, I bet none of you were really expecting this. I haven’t added to my grandkids library at my house in quite some time so I haven’t had any littles asking me to read to them. Ever since I saw this book, I’ve wanted it. My grandkids call me Mimi and I like how it has a Planes, Trains, and Automobiles vibe.

When the Day Comes by Gabrielle Meyer
Series: Timeless – Book 1
Why I want it: I feel like I’m a little late to the party on this one. But ever since I’ve heard about this series, I’ve wanted to read it. Starting with book 1 seems like the logical step. I like the idea of getting to experience life in two different time periods. The main character, Libby, lives life in 1774 Colonial Williamsburg and 1914 New York. Each day she wakes up to a different time period but on her 21st birthday she has to choose which one to live in for good.

A Healing Touch by Suzanne Woods Fisher
Why I want it: Woods Fisher is another of my favorite authors. I think I’ve read the bulk of her books but admittedly not all. This one released on October 1st and I was not approved for it by NetGalley. I checked it out from the library, renewed it twice, and still never found the time to read it. With the surgery and recovery coming up, I know I will want to read this. Anything Suzanne writes is comfort to me.
Here’s the link to my Amazon wishlist. It’s a mix of my TBR and other bookish things.
