The Sunday Post #9: Time Loop

It’s time loop week here on the blog. Last week, I did not get up any posts. Womp-womp. I do not wish this blog to be overly personal, and yes, I prefer to have the blog to be as devoid of my personal stuff as possible so I will just tell you that I’m dealing with some health issues and leave it at that. Until I am well, I’ll just do my best and my best will have to be good enough.

For those that commented on my blog last week. Thank you so much for visiting. If you have a blog, I will try to reciprocate soon. I’m currently just taking things one day at a time.

Last Week On My Couch

I was able to complete a quick knit for grandbaby #11, Samantha. My Aunt Brenda passed away last year and she had tons of crafting supplies. She could knit, crochet, embroidered, you name it, she could do it! My cousin let me go through some of the things and I found this kit. Samantha is four months old but I went ahead and knit a child size so she can wear next year too. We can fold the brim until then. I want her to have something from the great aunt she wasn’t able to meet.

I had a really great email conversation with author Patricia Johns. It was specifically about joining her launch team for her March 205 of Green Pastures. I’m very excited to be on Patricia’s team for this. It fits in with a 2025 goal I have that has to do with, well, Amish romances. Also, Patricia is a fellow knitter so, you know, bonus points.

If I had been up to writing. These are the types of posts I would have written:

I have arthritis in my neck but haven’t found it too much of an issue as long as I take things in bite size chunks.

Blogging definitely takes a back seat to health and life, sometimes. The cap is the cutest!

Thank you so much, Deb! Here’s a fun fact…all the grandchildren are my daughters. I’ve been at many of their births and even cut #9s umbilical cord.

I’m hoping to have things under control by the end of the year but that may be wishful thinking. Thank you for all the kind words!

I love knitting but have done very little in 2024. You take care of yourself and don’t worry about how often you post.

With all of my hobbies, reading, knitting, baking etc, I go through spurts where I spend a lot of time on them and times where I set it aside entirely. I just happen to be on a knitting spurt now.

Lucky grandbaby to have grandmother’s knitting.

Seems every end of year, we have our medical appointments and catch up to do. The holidays coming up and everything else might keep us on edge. Have fun though.

Welcome to Carla’s Book Crush where I share my favorite clean, Christian reads. I review everything from Amish and historical romance to suspense, contemporary fiction, nonfiction, and the occasional devotional. If it has heart, hope, and a message that points back to Christ, it’s probably on my shelf. I also love chatting with authors and featuring interviews that give you a peek behind the pages. Whether you’re looking for a new release, a cozy weekend read, or just something uplifting and well-written, you’re in the right place. Clean stories. Encouraging faith. Books worth reading.
