August was such a good reading month! I managed to read one more book than my average, and my average star rating is up from July. I may have found a new favorite series and it’s not even Amish. Can you believe it? I can’t. We’ll have to wait until book three comes out for that three as well as book three for Amish ABCs before any final decisions are made. I really do love a good series.

Reading Reflections

August was a pretty good reading month. Not only did I read one more book than my average, but I was really happy with everything I picked up.It was fairly easy to get a lot of reading done, since Georgie wasn’t fully integrated into the house until the last week of August. I spent a lot of time in our guest bedroom or my office with him. He’s four and a half pounds of pure cuteness! He’s also becoming pretty popular over on Bookstagram. September TBR

I came pretty close to reading everything on my August TBR but I wound up swapping out Unshaken for A Thieving at Carlton House. This was because I was reading A Scheming in Parliament for a book tour and it only took me 13 pages to realize I needed to read book one first. I’m so glad I did, it may be my new favorite series. We’ll see after book three comes out. I was able to read two NetGalley books so that leaves five on my shelf. It may be awhile before I get to them and I don’t want to request anymore after that. I really need to make some of my physical and ebook backlog a priority over NetGalley.

I have a couple of tours for late September / early October that I’m still waiting to hear about so I’m trying to save room for them. Here’s what I’m planning to read this month:

A little short on Amish romance for me this month but it’s good to switch things up on occasion. Plus I’m feeling all of the suspense vibes lately.
